I was born in the Deep South, but one wouldn't know it from interacting with me. I thank WGBH-Boston, the Annenberg CPB, and my local PBS station for saving me from becoming yet another local-minded southerner. Also, the joy of reading and the wealth of information on the internet helped get me to where I am today. Wikipedia and other similar services have coaxed me into trying something like this. I only hope I fare better here than I have at any of my attempts at blogs.
