Is it possible that some unknown intelligence is behind the mechanics of our universe? Yes, it is. Is it scientific theory? No. People claim that such an ordered universe could not have come about by pure chance, but I see no factual support to that claim. There is no reason to suppose that the present state of the universe is less probable then some other "less ordered" version. I have seen Albert Einstein mentioned with regards to his views on the genesis of our universe. True he believed in an intelligent creator, but his famous "god does not play dice" quote comes from another context ...
