I live and work in obscurity in a remote location in the Pacific Northwest. I have one husband, two daughters and one son. I would like to write more, but making a living, marriage and motherhood keep shoving their way into my focus with their insistent need for food, attention and guidance. However, my love is unconditional and my martyrdom is guaranteed.

I like anything that makes me laugh and watch Seinfeld compulsively. Curb Your Enthusiasm is my new favorite. The Office is also highly appealing to my sense of humor. I think Ricky Gervais is brilliantly funny. I like to listen to CBC on the radio. My favorite broadcasts are White Coat, Black Art, Wiretap and the Vinyl Cafe with Stuart McLean. I've read his books, but I like listening to him better. There is something about his delivery that cracks me up.

I enjoy writing and painting, but  my tendency to procrastinate prevents me from completing things. I have many unfinished drawings, paintings, and short stories that I plan to get to tomorrow. I am an overwhelmed insomniac. Basically, I'm a work in progress.

Other than that, I am pleased to serve Helium as the steward of Humor. I look forward to exploring the funny side of life with you and many good laughs!

I have a problem. I am powerless over my children and my life has become unmanageable. I need Parenting Anonymous. Signs of my pathological parenting surround me and I can no longer live in denial - the crayon is on the wall. Every wall in my home, in fact, is decorated by various abstract pieces done in wax crayon, indelible marker and finger paint.
