A breeder, trainer, and owner of 6 Chinese Crested Dogs. She is a pet nutrition specialist and is knowledgeable about small pets like gerbils and guinea pigs as well as various dog breeds like the Akita, Neapolitan Mastiff, and pit bulls. Her Chinese Crested dogs are active in the community in conformation, obedience and animal assisted therapy. She is originally from Louisville, Kentucky where she since the age of six helped her father raise and train Chinese Chows, German Shepherds, and Boxers. She has served in various volunteer jobs like the Louisville Zoo, Pets on Wheels, and Meals on Wheels. Maxwell is also a published author, poet, and spoken word artist.
