My opinions are real, but my name has been changed to protect the innocent.

I'm from Auckland, New Zealand (yes, we do have the Internet down here in the antipodes) and I live with my wife and two cats. I used to work in the computer industry for about 12 years, but have since left to pursue a career in security & intelligence. I still like to keep up-to-date with what is happening in the industry though, and see myself as an "advanced end user" and a netizen.

In these days of Web 2.0, its all about the consumer, the end user. Rather than us going to XYZ big company website, now they come to us. Wanna come visit me? I have homes in MySpace, Facebook, Friendster, Bebo and Xanga to name a few.

I like to meet intelligent and articulate people from all over the world to communicate with, discuss, and debate issues.

Oh, BTW, the fact that I'm Jed Kantos and I'm now at Helium is quite funny really. If you don't know what I mean, then try Googling "Jed Kantos Helium" and you'll get the joke.

waiting at a particular time and place, facing a particular direction, waiting to meet myself from the future.

Why I write ...

so that when I get to that future, I can look back at all the silly things I wrote and laugh at myself.
