My professional background is a collective one. My first career was in the medical field working with the elderly. I specialized in those with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. I studied the legal structure, and graduated a Paralegal. I studied early childhood education and am a former preschool teacher and childcare provider. Most recently, I was a coordinator of after school programing for elementary aged students, their parents, and the staff of an elementary school. I have spent many years working with parents and children in volunteer organizations, and am an author of poetry and nonfiction. Thanks for your interest. I am sensitive, emotional, and at times, a bitch.
I am persistent, a volunteer and a child advocate.
I am creative, musical, and a writer.
I am full of flaws.
I am unique, just like you.

I am not boring, perfect or a snob.
I am not petty, or afraid to try new things.
I am not always right.
I am not always strong.
I am never ashamed of failing, only of not trying.
I am not a traitor.
I am not interested in jumping on a "band wagon."

What will we be remembered for? I believe we are composed of the people and places we have seen, no matter how short the time we spent. Although, we may not be conscious of the impact of where or whom the impression was left upon us. In our lives, we have the opportunity to gain wisdom from those who have come and gone before us. It would be a sad existence, if we were to entertain the notion that our time on this earth was spent without making any kind of imprint on the world or those in our lives.
