I have a husband and a cat. They are both very well-loved by me. I live in a Rural area that the world is trying to subdivide to create a never-ending suburbia. Most people don't know that parts of New York State are rural or even that there are any places besides New York City, Albany, Niagara Falls, and Buffalo.
My favorite places are: The Adirondacks, the woods, and my home.
I really enjoy Helium.
My goal is to be able to earn a living, while staying home, and become a part-time gatherer (as in hunter-gatherer).
2007 Gathered: Wild Canadian violet flowers, rose petals, Motherwort, clover, chives, raspberries, heal-all and mint, apples, jerusalem artichoke, chives,lamb's quarters seeds, dock seeds

Milkweed, to the paper maker, the quilter, the mobile artist, the ropemaker, the home sewer, and the nature enthusist, this is a wonderful find. Even World War II history buffs can learn to love this magnificient weed. Why? Because milkweed has played an important role in history, not just for World War II.
