: About Me

I am a teacher, facilitator, writer, storyteller, coach and medical herbalist. Born and trained in the U.K., I did my post graduate studies in the Canton Medical School in China. Now living in Vancouver,BC, Canada has given me more freedom to think outside the box, follow my heart and make my own rules. I work on the leading edge of complementary medicine with a lifelong interest in skin health and healing.

I taught Herbal Science at Bastyr University in Washington and Botanical Medicine at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in BC, Canada. I have facilitated presentations on many subjects, from study skills, to medical themes and medical Latin and Greek. Seminars to pharmacists on botanical medicine have been particularly satisfying. I write extensively for consumers, as well as for professional journals. Then there is the dream of being a writer of romantic historical fiction.

Working on a farm in England before the big machines took over and people worked together. It was long and hard hours. Little pay but it made me strong and I slept well.

Phil had a life that was all his own. Those who knew him didn't talk about him much but when they did it was usually to say that he was OK but a bit remote.
