Hi I'm Linda Shrigley, pen name, Lucy-lifeless. I love to write, read, and do many different crafts. In my spare time I make all sorts of crafts for gifts and for sale. Every December 1st you can be sure to find me in our common room with all my crafts lined up on the table for sale.
I have been asked and have accepted a position of Steward for the Parenting and Pregnancy channel of this site. If you have any questions, I will gladly answer anything I can. This is an honor and I hope I do not let anyone down.
I help to run a Bingo at the Senior Center where I currently live. We don't get a really large crowd, but it is something for some of the seniors to do twice a week. I also love to walk on the board walk behind my building which runs along the St. Mary's River.
I live in a fairly large city and have lived here since I was born. I have raised two children, a boy and a girl, and I also have a grandson who is now 11. Having a grandchild that old makes me feel old myself, although I am not quite that old, at least I don't feel that I am.
In my spare time I love to read almost every type of book that I can get my hands on. I am hoping to be able to write some great articles for Helium, but I also hope that if I goof up I will get some input from other writers.
I was a waitress for twelve years but, had to take an early retirement because of health problems. The pain throughout my body has made me quit a lot of things that I once loved to do.
Reading other articles on this site is a great way of entertainment for me. I love to hear of other peoples experiences, their likes and dislikes. I feel honored to be able to join such a great team of writers where I can put forth my views and concerns.
I look forward to having at least one of my stories purchased and published in a magazine. This is the goal I have set for myself, hopefully this dream will come true one day.
