Hi I'm Linda Shrigley, pen name, Lucy-lifeless. I love to read, and write. I'll read anything I can get my hands on.

 I'd also like to share with you that I have just published a book based on a short story that is among my articles. The book is called "Destiny" and I hope you will purchase one and read it if you like the short story that is. It can be purchased online through Amazon, Author House, and Barn's and Noble. The date this was availabe on line was the first of August 2010.

I'm retired now and am attempting to write a second book.

I help to run a Bingo at the Senior Center where I currently live. We don't get a really large crowd, but it is something for some of the seniors to do two evenings a week. We have a great time; it's supposed to last from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, but more often than not, we never get out of there until after 9:30pm. I am one of the callers, and we have 3 hearing impared ladies that attend our Bingo.They sit up front with me so I can show them the numbers. We have a great time up there at the Bingo machine.Those ladies have become great friends of mine, since they started coming to our little Bingo. I'm even starting to learn a little sign language.

I also love to walk on the board walk behind my building which runs along the St. Mary's River. There are a few places where they have statues that light up at night, and they are so pretty. It's very relaxing sitting on a bench, and watching these statues spray up their colorful splender.

I live in a fairly large city, and have lived here since I was born. I have raised two children, a boy and a girl, and I also have two grandsons, one who was born September 25, 1996 and the other one was born on January 19, 2010. My daughter's is on Sept. 25 she was born in 1979, and my son was born Feb. 12, 1975. Having a grandchildren that old makes me feel old myself, although I am not quite that old, at least I don't feel that I am

Reading other articles on this site is a great way of entertainment for me. I love to hear of other people's experiences, their likes, and dislikes. I feel honored to be able to join such a great team of writers where I can put forth my views, and concerns.
