After family and work, I am an avid fibre arts designer, compulsive knitter, and a general handywoman. Current projects include; dissecting wedding dress to make a quilt, turning license plates into light switches, restoring a mantle clock, knitting a lampshade cozy, turning my Jetta TDI to run on canola oil, and ref-finishing a claw foot tub complete with a french manicure for the claws.

The role of the parent is to advocate for their child; the school teacher will advocate for the children in the classroom, the principle will advocate for the children in the school, and the superintendent will advocate for the children in the division. Learning this is a key to having a successful working relationship with your child's classroom and school. When issues pop up, these lenses will be used.
