About me - Chey Robinson

About me

Hi! My name is Chey Robinson. This is the name I write under, but it is also my real name. I shortened my first name because it is too long to always spell out. Anyway, I've been writing since I was about seven. I've never put any of my work out to the public before, but since I'm not getting any younger, I thought I would try. I came here to really learn how to write, and I've been learning from those who really have the skill to be a brilliant writer. I write anything from fiction to non-fiction, and I write these articles in hopes that I can be better at it. I love to write, and it is my passion. I have had three articles win the Director's award at Poetry.com, they have published my work in various hardbacks, and have written them into songs! These books and cd's are exclusive to Poetry.com. My series-Unnatural Chaos defines the feelings I felt while going through a very difficult time in my life when I didn't know whether I was coming or going. But it all got better. I love to read everything from Shel Silverstein to Emily Dickinson to Stephen King. I love to read anything that is good. Reading is another passion of mine. I was told by a great man once that reading fuels writing. It's true. I'm currently working on a short novel, and someday I hope to put it in print.

Society & Lifestyle > Subcultures Defending the 'Gothic Movement'

Before I begin, let me tell you this. I fully support the Goth Movement. I do like to wear black, I like to wear my eyeliner heavy, my hair is naturally dark with red highlights, and it is dyed blonde. I like Hot Topic, and Total Skull, and I love Gothic people. I've always been one to stick to myself. I've known this since I was a small child. I'm very smart, and have always been misunderstood. I'm deemed a Goth even though I don't wear the black and white make-up, or the the long, black dresses. As a matter of fact, I despise dresses in any form.
