About me

I am down to earth and fairly open ( I do have limits though not many). I have 4 sons from 31 ->22, I'm on my third marriage (recent)... I stupidly married the same guy the first two times. I am morbidly obese (very fat) but have lost over 100 lbs in the last 1 1/2 yrs. I worked for the State Hospital (Ca.) system for about 18 yrs, mostly with the criminally insane. I ended my career as an R.N., I have had some health issues in the past ten years but I have finally stumbled on "getting healthier". I have been knocked down many times but manage to get up... I think a sense of humor is KEY!

In the past 4 and 1/2 years my journey to greater health has enhanced my world and life, I have lost over 300 pounds and have in August 2009 returned to work, after twelve years of forced retirement. I am loving life more then I ever have before, in part because I stopped letting things just happen and I took action! We always have a choice and I decided to change the ones I was making.

An excellent question, that immediately makes me think the best way to avoid the misery of dieting is to of course, NOT diet! This is not the answer most want to hear though. They want to have an easier way to diet. To not feel they are starving, to eat tasty food, to not have to battle cravings.
