Hi, my name is Dustin and I live in Covington, Tennessee. Covington is a small city about an hour from Memphis, Tennessee. I am married and have son and four stepchildren (one from my first marriage and three from my second).
I am a Christian and try to base my moral convictions on what the Bible says. Obviously, I come up short way too often but I am trying.
I have worked in the educational field for nine years. This includes five years at the college level and four at the secondary level. I prefer the college setting and plan to stay there. I have a Master's Degree and two Bachelor's Degrees from the University of Memphis.
My hobbies include writing, reading literature, following NFL football and professional golf. I write a blog called "The Way I See It" for the blogstream site. You can find it at http://dustmac1.blogstream.com. I joined Helium basically to comment on other people's opinions and offer my own thoughts.
One other hobby I would like to mention would probably surprise most of my students and coworkers. I am a huge fan of 70's and 80's classic and hard rock bands. My favorite artist is rocker Alice Cooper and I am a walking encyclopedia on his career. I am also a huge fan of Boston Legal. I find the writing superior.
I appreciate you taking the time to read my biography and look forward to hearing from you.

One of the few memories I have of my grandfather was his love for politics. Despite being only seven or eight years old when my grandfather passed away, I recall attending many political functions with my pepaw and loving every minute of it. My grandfather was always active in local elections and followed the national scene quite closely as well. It was during this time, I discovered I had inherited his passion for the political process.
I can still recall the joy I felt when I offically became old enough to vote. I remember rushing to the polls and casting my ballot with a great sense o...
