After being laid off from my real-estate related job during the economic crunch in 2009 and facing serious health challenges a short time later, my passion for writing has not only allowed me to survive but to look to the future as well. A lifetime working history in the professional business world in three different countries continues to aid me in freelance writing.
Expressing myself through writing has been a lifetime dream and while only recently realized it has been quite rewarding. Despite my late start, I was thrilled to experience success with the sale of an article within the first month of my decision. Needless to say, I am grateful to have found Helium, and a platform from which to speak as a writer.
I've been a contributing writer for an active adult living website and had articles purchased in Helium's Marketplace. Other freelance writing assignments include varied topics like lifestyle, real estate, travel, and the exciting world of NASCAR. Other interests and topics covered include different cultures, especially German and Native American, partially because they are part of my children's heritage.
While many writers succeed by choosing a niche, I find joy in researching a wide variety of topics and making sure my readers not only get the real story, but an engaging one as well. I am a member of Helium’s Editorial Advisory Board and also function as the Channel Manager for Helium’s Home Interiors sub channel.
