About me - Jeff Parsons

About me

I think of myself as a warrior, a clown, a poet and a mystic. I have sailed the rolling seas through a sudden tempest, flown solo through a thunderstorm, walked through the dark forest late at night, stood alone atop a Mayan temple as the sun quietly set upon the jungle, crossed swords with Olympic fencers, gotten to know a Prince and brought the stars closer to mankind. The more I do all of these things, the more humble I become, a simple servant in awe of the universe that God has created.

I have over 25 years of writing experience in these fields: engineering, marketing, manufacturing, testing, R&D, nuclear power, submarines, alternative energy, space, aerospace, metals recovery and semiconductors.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

the search for passion... and really good coffee.

I know too much about ...

my own ignorance - which is really an amazing whopper of a paradox.

My parents always told me ...

that my life is what I make of it.

My childhood ambition ...

to kiss the girl of my dreams, save the world one lollipop at a time, inspire others as an astronaut/ baseball player and be able to count past infinity.

My favorite memory ...

ah, that was the one where I was... oh, forgot it... what were you asking again?

Why I write ...

to feel alive with creativity. I also love a challenge.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

the Postman by David Brin.

My first job ...

8 years old - CEO of a lemonade stand at our neighborhood baseball park.

My best moment ...

the here and now.

My inspiration ...

the singing of birds announcing the dawn of a new day.
