"You create your own reality" has become a popular phrase. Books and films like The Secret, What The Bleep Do We Know, and the Abraham books (channeled by Esther Hicks) have spoken of how our thoughts and emotions create our reality. The actual phrase (as far as I know) was first used in the Seth books, channeled by the late Jane Roberts.
