When I was quite young (maybe 13 or 14 years old) there was an old man who lived up in the mountains. His wife had passed away many years prior to the time I write about. His name was Marv, and he lived alone with his dog. Time has removed the name of the dog from my recollection. I'll chose to call him Sam. Living up in the mountains with no neighbors, Marv was able to spend a lot of time with Sam, (much more so than most of us with pets in this high paced world) and started training him.
