The morning my brother Jason was born. I just remember talking to my mom on the phone from my grandma and grandpa's house, and listening to my baby brother cry for the first time. Just the thought of that day still brings tears to my eyes.

Why I write ...

Because I love to write on topics that I am able to learn something from, and because it is so incredibly liberating

I recall the first time my mother saw my freshly dyed blue black hair, pale white skin, dark eyeliner, dressed in all black from head to toe, and my favorite blood red zebra print creepers (shoes). Although it was a bit of a shock, my mother was not the least bit surprised that I was now a 'goth kid', other than the fact that the night before i was a 'punk kid'. Yep, I had a red Mohawk, tight ripped jeans, and a dull pair of Doc Martins!
