Elective or not, bible courses should not be allowed in public schools. Why? Separation of church and state. Has everyone forgotten this little promise? Or...let's say it IS offered. Will there be elective courses on the Koran? Buddhist meditation? Anton LaVey and his satanic works? This country was, in part, founded on freedom of religion. Freedom FROM religion, for those who prefer it. I'm not against learning, by far.
