About me - A.L.Adams

aboutme

I'm a 30-something mommy of an 18 month old little boy, married to wonderful man I adore and cherish. I previously held the title of news editor, production editor and managing editor of some pretty important media publications in the 80's....of course that was in high school. I was an English major in college, a legal secretary, a truck driver, a data entry clerk, an independent sales consultant and small business owner, a secretary and advocate for nurses, and now a stay at home wife and mommy. You name it, I've done it. The wife and mommy part are the best and most important jobs I've ever had and I love it.

I also stay involved in the arts program at my church. I sing with the worship team (like to sing for other occasions too). I've also volunteered with nursery age, elementary school aged and teenagers and traveled on mission trips with them. Children teach us so much. I am a woman of God and thankful for this life I've been given - with all the good and bad. Life is a great adventure.

When I say I'm a Christian, does that turn you away? Do you see me as someone who pushes their beliefs on you and makes you feel uncomfortable? Do you even see me? Or do you see the TV evangelists that stole all your money? Maybe you see a pastor that preached you would burn, or a Christian friend who betrayed you. Am I Catholic or Protestant, Baptist or Nazarene, First Church of this and Reformed Church of that? Do you think that I wear jeans or do I have to wear a skirt? Do they let me dance, or am I free to express myself? Maybe when I say that I'm a Christian all you see is a me...
