According to my kids, I'm a tree-hugging hippie. According to my dogs, I'm a goddess. I'm pretty sure neither description is accurate.
I have a B.S. in Natural Health & Nutrition. I spent a few years writing for several health-related websites. I am a vegetarian and I have a tendency to read too many labels at the grocery store. This used to drive my family crazy. Now they simply ignore me, particularly when I tell them how bad their favorite foods are.
I have been writing since I was old enough to form sentences. I don't think it was ever a choice. Words and stories consume me.
I have written 4 novels, all with a mystery/suspense component. Recently I published 2 of those novels. The process was quite exciting. And I have to say that seeing my books bound with covers my husband and I designed is a thrill!
I have also created my own website - http://www.QuietFuryBooks.com. Writing HTML is in no way as thrilling as writing a novel. At least not for me! I spent more hours than I'd like to count sitting at my computer chair and cursing the HTML gods. However, I do have to admit that seeing the code I write actually turn into something on a blank page is quite amazing! I hope you'll visit my site and send me a comment.
I have just converted one of my novels - No Justice - to an e-book. It's available on Smashwords, which is a great site for both readers and authors. You'll find tons of titles, some really cheap, and they're available in every conceivable format. I hope you'll check out my book! https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/DarciaHelle

Enemies and Playmates Gina hopped off the barstool. Perfect perpetually tanned legs, a teasing smile, dark eyes that lit up beneath long dark lashes. That was Gina. She not only turned heads, she stopped men in their tracks and left them drooling and speechless. "Let's dance," she said. Carrie slipped off her stool. Short tousled bleached blonde hair, big blue eyes. Part hippie, part techno geek. She grabbed Lauren's hand. "C'mon," she said. "This is a great song." "Not yet," Lauren said. "You guys go ahead." Gina sighed. "Sometimes you're so uptight." Lauren picked at her nail polish as h...
