About me - Kathy Soltani

About me

tap...tap...tap... is this thing on? Okay..."brand me", huh? Here goes. I live in the Philadelphia suburbs with my very tolerant husband and two interesting, albeit frequently surly children. I'm obsessed with the "carnival" aspect of life and fervently believe that it's never time to come home from the fair. I am expert at finding excuses to read, paint and haunt "junk shops" when I should be attending to my domestic duties. "Jack of all trades, master of none," is a phrase with genuine appeal for me. I'm a classic underacheiver with an over-inflated sense of accomplishment. Tag. You're it.

I know too much about ...

that lump of tinfoil in the back of my fridge.

My parents always told me ...

that one day, "I'd find out."

My childhood ambition ...

was to run away with the carnival.

My favorite memory ...

is of laughing with my Grandmom while she made french fries.

Why I write ...

because it's cheaper than calling.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I'm reading Bukowski, watching the world go by and listening to the voices in my head.

My first job ...

was selling handbags in Lit Brothers Department Store.

My best moment ...

was when I realized that doing the best I can is the best I can do.

My inspiration ...

comes from living out loud.
