About me - N. O. Tate

About me

I am an "older than most of you" female who has lots of experience in the regular job market, although I have been writing on my own for as many years as most of you have been alive, I'd wager.

I graduated from a small-town high school at the end of the "Flower Children" era - although, since it hadn't yet arrived in "our neck of the woods" a lesser version soon made an appearance and I was happy to follow.

The number of hats I have worn over the years has provided me with a unique perspective on life. In fact, as has always been my norm, I was late entering the computer era, and began to play catch-up right at the turn of the century!

Now, I love the possibilities this new technology holds - not only for young people, but for our nation and our world. Finally, a dialogue that does not always have to be precluded by perfect grammar or a news-worthy slant! After all, many folk who couldn't qualify as a professional journalist have valid viewpoints. It is exciting to read and learn about people through blogs, writing forums and chat boards.

We admire those who risk life and limb to protect another from falling debris, raging waters or fiery deathtraps. They are our heroes. We praise one who would serve others through ministries, delegations or official posts. Without them, suffering might have gone unchecked. But less recognized are those who, through a glorious bounteousness of spirit, cannot help but share the happiness they feel and the wonderment they perceive in living.
