: About Me

Originally from Tennessee, I have lived in Florida since 1982. I am a 39-year-old, single mother of 5 children ranging in age from 5 to 22 years. I have been a parenting teacher, a domestic violence victim advocate and worked in the natural health industry. I've held other jobs but none so interesting as these.

Currently, I work at home, homeschool and teach natural mothering. I own a natural, "green" cleaning service and 2 "green" online stores.

Writing has always been a passion and talent of mine. Unfortunately, despite all the encouragement I've had, I've never done anything with it other than newsletters and blogs. Hopefully being a part of Helium will change that.

constant music in the air and quiet nights with grandma, who played mom to me until she passed away when I was 30.

I've always loved reading and writing. I love sharing knowledge with those willing to hear.

Cleaning a kitchen isn't always a pleasant thing. For me, it's a task to be avoided like WalMart on Black Friday. I simply don't like cleaning kitchens! Cleaning certain items can bring new meaning to the word "chore". The microwave that has been neglected can certainly prove to be one of these dreaded tasks if one doesn't know how to make it quick and easy.
