I'm 27, married with two children. I currently live in Minnesota by way of Kansas, Colorado, Indiana, and Texas. I work full time for a large family practice clinic, haggling with insurance companies and making excuses for the outrageous costs of health care-if you know how to give yourself 5 perfect stitches in your forehead or inject the cortisone directly into your knee, then by all means, be my guest. I'd rather NOT hear about it. In my free time, I enjoy scrapbooking and card making, playing with my kids, reading, and of course, writing. I've completed one romance novel, have two others in progress, and thoughts for another. In January of 2008, I became an editor for The Wild Rose Press...finally, a job I love!
My passion is ...
My Children
I know too much about ...
medical terms. Want to know what Epididymitis is?
My parents always told me ...
not to tip my chair backwards. I never got why until my kids starting doing it.
My childhood ambition ...
to be a wife and mother. CHECK. To be a famous singer. [BLANK] To be a writer. (I'm working on it.)
My favorite memory ...
I haven't picked one yet. I'm still living them.
Why I write ...
I have stories, paragraphs, sentences, words in my head every second of every day. I have to get them out or I go crazy.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
I read whatever I can get my hands on, I watch WAY too much of the Food Network, and listen to country music whenever it calls to me.
My first job ...
Working at Boston Market and smelling like chicken EVERY DAY.
My best moment ...
Giving birth to my daughter. I felt her kicking inside me for months, and suddenly I was looking at her. It truly is a miracle.
My inspiration ...
My parents have done so much for me. Every word I write is for them.
And still we're here And still we try Although sometimes I wonder why And still someday, I dream we'll find A way to be together even when I hurt and I cry and we swear that it's the end And still we're here And still we try And still
