I've been writing for as long as I can remember. I wrote my first "novel" in second grade, a knock off of The Secret Language. I founded the Cacoethes Scribendi Creative Writing Workshop in 1999. Literally translated, Cacoethes Scribendi means "writing disease." In 2002 my first novel, LIVING IN THE CITY, was published. An essay titled, "The Surprise Party" was published in A CUP OF COMFORT FOR FRIENDS. In addition, I've had numerous short stories published. I am currently working on a new novel and a short story collection.
My passion is ...
writing and family, not necessarily in that order.
My childhood ambition ...
was always to be a writer.
My favorite memory ...
sitting on my grandmother's porch with my cousins and painting our lips with jellybeans.
Why I write ...
because I'm a witch when I don't write. I can't NOT write.
My first job ...
serving slop in the employee cafeteria at Hersheypark.
