Pat Corbitt has been writing and directing commercial and dramatic television and feature film screenplays for over 40 years. Pat recently completed his first novel entitled, D.S.E.V. which was published April 6, 2009 by PublishAmerica, Baltimore, MD (ISBN 1-60813-331-1).
Currently, Pat is working on his second novel, "Splinters," a supernatural espionage-thriller set at the end of the Second World War. He also writes movie and TV treatments as well as a variety of ad copy and corporate production scripts. His works (and all the poking around) on Helium are for fun and provide a great way to enjoy the work of his peers and keep his writing skills sharp and the process enjoyable. And, yes, he answers his emails.

MY RECESSION LESSON This economic mess can teach us things about ourselves in the oddest of ways. Consider this. Feeling poorer than usual, this winter I conceded a small victory to the first cold snap we had. I went to the Army-Navy store and bought the best winter coat I ever had.
