My name is Leslie Anne Vann. I am fifty-four and have been writing since I was twelve.
I had the best of two worlds. My dad had a house on the San Juan Islands while my mother raised us on a farm.
I have three grown children, Eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
I am working on a Christian novel. It is a fantasy, yet it is based on Christian morals and standards we should at least try to live by. I have written poems for all occasions, several children's stories, short stories and poems that follow the lives of myself, my children, grandchildren, lost love, hard times, comfort, sympathy and more. Although I have never yet been paid I have several writings in books and several outstanding achievement awards. I'm patiently waiting for my big break while I continue my writing and dream.
My goal is a log cabin in the hills with a small horse ranch.
I am a Christian and although I have been most all my life, I, like a lot of people, lost my footing and had to fight my way back. But I'm back. However I have written about most everything in my life in one way or another. It's just what I do. Doesn't writing make you feel good?
To all you writers out there, good job, I hope you keep writing. I think it's in our blood!

A Grandma's First I wish that I could tell you, your to young to understand. The love, the pride, the ecstasy, as I first held your hand. I watched you flow from mother's womb, still wrapped in mother's love. The Lord had sent you to us. An angle from above. How long had Jesus kept you with Him in His holy skies? He kept you long enough to make your perfect dark blue eye's. He kept you till He made your fingers strong enough to grasp. He may have told you of your future. How to find your path. He kept you till your tiny body was in perfect form. Till little toe's could dance and play. He k...
