Getting a job as a teenager is not that different from getting a job the rest of your life. The difference is the type of work you are probably willing do. It is best to avoid the assumption that you are entitled to the coolest, best paying job you saw on The O.C. Whether you are a great student, volunteer 30% of your after school time or babysit for your siblings much more than you deem fair, if you have not paid taxes yet, you have not had a job.
