I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay and raised Brooklyn, NY to Italian and Brasilian parents. None of us spoke English when we moved to Brooklyn. I was 5. I taught myself to read with my first book, "See Spot Run", hiding under tables, closets, wherever I could find quiet. To this day, I can't write or read anything unless I have absolute quiet around me.
I have a great love of music and being able to play just about any instrument by ear (I can't read notes), I believe was key in why I do not speak English with a detectable accent. My tendency to sponge accents from people keeps me away from Texas & England. lol
I've won countless awards and contests since the age of 12, from my Writing to my Art to my Photography; a hobby I picked up recently. I was featured on the Ovation TV site for one of my photographs (Babies in Milk) in the popular "Art or Not" series. Of course it's art! lol
Wanting to do so many things at one time, I started my own business from home some years ago; Art Menace. I paint, sketch, revamp jewelry and furniture, taking something you already have and turning into something totally different. All of my work, including Photographs are available online in prints or cards, even originals. Google me or contact me for more details.
I am the epitome of the starving Artist and Freelance Writer except I don't smoke, wear a beret or am depressed by any measure. But a girl has to pay bills, so I decided to get my Real Estate license, which I am currently studying for here in Florida. Resilience & resourcefulness are perfect words to describe me. I'd like to think of myself as the Unsinkable Molly Brown when looking at my life because I have so much to write about, so much to share and so much that has transformed me into the human I am today.
Currently I finished writing a story which is based on my life and awaiting publication. Wouldn't it be great to say it will be a movie someday? lol I think Debra Messing would be perfect to play me. But I'm still torn between Billy Zane and Hugh Jackman for the leading man. We'll see who bites first. ;)
Live, love, whatever. Don't follow someone else's quotes, make your own. Muah!

I can't speak for anyone else or debate a topic that's specific to each person, individualized and customized to fit into their own experience. Personally, I do believe in love at first sight because it happened to me. In my entire life, I have only been in love three times. It isn't easy for me to fall in love. It takes me a while to get to know someone, to find a common ground, to trust and eventually to feel something I can call real enough to commit myself to completely. I have always been quite skeptical. There's a part of my brain that shuts down to the idea that something so deep an...
