About me - Veralynn Leos

About me

My name is Veralynn. You may shorten my name however you like- it's all been done before!
I love reading and writing, although reading more than writing, and only when it's on my own terms! Being forced to write is just horrible for me. I write because I want to, and for the benefit of others.
Languages intrigue me, and I hope to speak many of them one day, along with traveling to the countries from which they belong. My ultimate goal is to write fluently in at least one foreign language.
Meeting new people and getting to know them is something I enjoy most in life- seeing other people's perspectives is a really cool thing.
I believe my writing is valuable because of the audiences I can reach and relate to. I can talk with kids younger than myself, encourage my peers, and approach adults in a persuasive and entertaining way.

I mean, look at the articles and books being published on the roles of women. In books such "The Feminine Mistake," the author is trying to point out the "danger" of a woman staying at home to raise her children versus the so-called "security" of a career-minded woman. Isn't it possible to have both worlds? Better yet, can't a woman pursue her own interests? What if a woman desires to stay at home? Shouldn't she be able to pursue that life without being harassed about...
