About me

NAVENDU N. YAJNIK

Navendu Yajnik is one of the veteran I.T. professionals from Gujarat. He did schooling in Gujarat and then moved to BITS, Pilani for higher studies. He graduated in 1982 with M.M.S. (Master in Management Studies). After a brief stint in management consultancy and field sales, he joined the Ashima Group in 1986, where he set up and nurtured the Information Systems activities. He held various portfolios like H.R., Corporate Communications besides I.T. in Ashima Group. Mr. Yajnik has excellent command over all functional areas like Finance and Accounting, HR, Production, Marketing, Legal, etc.

In 1998, he moved to Gujarat Gas Company Ltd. to head their I.T. division. Here, he was responsible for charting out a grand design for the company's I.T. strategy and initiating suitable measures.

In March 1999, he joined the Patni Computer Systems Ltd. as the head of the Gandhinagar software development facility, where he was in charge of all technical and commercial matters for exports of software. Patni is the seventh largest software exporter in India and boasts of broad based information technology related consulting services. The Gandhinagar unit of Patni has carved out a niche in specific industry verticals related solutions.
As Location Head for Bangalore unit, he was responsible for mentoring software delivery to clients and take care of all support and infrastructural issues in order to accomplish that task.

Mr. Yajnik is working as an independent consultant for software delivery.
