Humor: Technology Title: Born Under an Unlucky DVD Star Article: (resubmit) We have terrible luck with DVD players. Well, more accurately, terrible luck with new ones. The one we've had for the past 5 years finally gave up the ghost. It would pause indefinitely on brand new DVDs, skip and delay on DVRs and just plain refuse to work even though I threatened it with a set of spanners and needle nosed pliers.
