Pithy it may seem, but this advice goes far beyond its first impressions. In fact, the attitude behind the maxim is the very sole of the matter.

Because I wear my motorcycle boots not only when I can't figure out what to wear (building the outfit up from there); but also when I'm afraid I might be a little nervous later on in the day.

There is something about stretching out a leg wrapped in black leather to the knee with silver buckles and steel toes that makes you feel a little more confident, a little more in control of whatever situation...
