Crabbing is one of the most relaxing and fun sports for a fisherman who doesn't like to wait for fish..lol.. I started crabbing many years ago, it is not only a leisure activity for me and my family it is also a means for food! We set out early in the morning just after the sun rises, pick our favorite pier, then bait up our 6 traps. We choose to use 2 ring traps, the metal and string ones. Our choice of bait is plain old chicken. We bait our traps and toss them in the water, tie the ropes off to the pier, we normally wait about 5 minutes before checking each trap.
