Dave has been in the Canadian media industry
since 1997.
At age 24, Mendonca became an on-air reporter for
an all-sports Canadian television network called,
"The Score." Through his reporting, he
interviewed many famous athletes from Vince
Carter to Marcus Allen to Pedro Martinez.
Also, in his career, he has been a magazine
sports/entertainment writer, entertainment
television anchor/reporter, radio traffic
reporter and sports television talk show
talent booker.
He has a great passion for writing,
sports and entertainment. He is a big
movie/pop culture and sports fan.
As well, he enjoys interviewing professional
athletes, actors and other celebrities.
Since he has accomplished many broadcasting
goals, he is now striving to one day write
for a major publication such as Time
Magazine and/or Sports Illustrated.

Growing up was tough for me. I was an overweight child who lived in a suburb just west of Canada's largest city, Toronto. I was suffering from seizures due to my epilepsy. Kids at my catholic elementary school would make fun of me all of the time. On many occasions I remember bursting into tears, in my bedroom, asking God, "Why are you doing this to me?
