After living in Texas for the last six years, I am currently residing in Canal Fulton, OH. Last year, I survived a whirlwind, being the Senior Editor at a new publication for the Eastern United States called The Writers Block Magazine. Writing is my whole life and I wouldn't be who I am today without my work. My usual forms are poetry or short stories, but I do break into non-fiction now and then and I'm currently working on a novel length piece, which is entitled "A Portrait of Our Innocence".
My passion is ...
Life; it is much too short not to life if fully.
I know too much about ...
Nothing. I don't think anybody ever can learn too much. Life is about constantly learning.
My parents always told me ...
That success was about hard work.
My childhood ambition ...
Was to become a singer.
My favorite memory ...
Is not an event, but a person. All my memories involving my best friend J, are my favorite.
Why I write ...
Because I wouldn't be able to handle life, unless I could write. That is how you know if writing is for you: if you can life without it, you shouldn't be doing it.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
In my stereo is Bon Jovi, Jamie Cullum, Josh Groban, Daniel Powter, and James Blunt.
My first job ...
Was working for my dad at an amusement park in Tulsa that he was the manager of.
My best moment ...
When I found out that I'd been published for the first time.
My inspiration ...
My family. They're all crazy and hilarious and infuriating and always make me smile when I'm sad. Most of my work is about them.
