: About Me

I currently live and work in China teaching English which ironically was never my top ranking subject at school - that was Geography. Despite average results at school I was and still am an avid reader often devouring more than one book at a time from a variety of genre.

I really enjoy the sounds of words and the pictures they paint and one of the pleasures of teaching kindergarten children English as a Second Language has been creating simple, engaging and often funny rhymes which I use in teaching each letter of the alphabet.

My other passion is of course travelling. China is a challenging country in which to live and as such is a challenge to travel through as well. In recent years I've been able to write on-line about many of my personal experiences in this fascinating country and at the same time give useful travel tips and information about many destinations within China.

When I'm not in China, I call Australia home - the Sunshine Coast - on the central east coast.

was to travel the world.

Why I write ...

I love to tell stories. I guess it started with penpals as a child, followed by long letters home while travelling. There's some water under the bridge now and I have more time on my hands and loads of wonderful experiences to share about people I've met and places I have been.

For the past few years I've been living thousands of miles from the beach so packing for that Beach Vacation' is now a reality for me. Gone is my familiar beach-side lifestyle. A swimsuit, and preferably more than one is your single most important item. Choose both style and colour carefully creating the illusion of the slimmest possible you. I prefer a two piece, either a bikini or tankini or something in between with a low neckline and shoestring straps. Should you be the energetic type, indulging in some serious water sports, especially surfing then a good sturdy, but equally flattering...
