Hello,

My name is David Duncan. I live in Minnesota with my wife, Margaret, three grown children, and two grandchildren.

Today, much of who I am is rooted in growing up in diversity, strong family values, and the outdoors. I grew up in a military family and around other military families. It was in my childhood, I learned the value of tolerance and real friendship with the others. Living on a military base, you have a large "extended" family from all backgrounds to lean on in good times and bad.

I wasn't very fond of indoor games or school sports as a child. So, with a small circle of friends, I spent most of my after-school time and summers playing outdoors. Like many kids, we had a favorite place to play. Just behind my grandparents' home, I spent many hours with my friends in a small pasture with a stand of trees and a creek running through it, pretending to be whoever and where-ever we wanted. It was in that pasture playground, I first learned to let my imagination run wild. Today, when I look for inspiration, I think back to that special playground.

What do I like to do? Besides writing, I enjoy family time, cooking, traveling, fishing, archery, camping, classic movies, chess, video games. As for my writing interests, some of my favorite topics are family relations, favorite travel destinations, Spirituality (Celtic), pets, outdoor activities, and food service.

I look forward to sharing my experiences with other writers here, while also learning to improve my own writing.

My wife and I are approaching our third year as practicing Witches. So, we are fairly new to the Wiccan religion. Still, I can tell you that Magic, like any faith that is called upon to comfort or help resolve situations, requires learning and total acceptance into one's heart and mind.
