: About Me

I am currently working for a Developer in Real Estate and I really enjoy selling new homes. It is a wonderul world to be in and it will be again when the economy changes. But, I have been blessed with many exciting avenues from which I can draw from and I have an entrepreneurial spirit which will enable me to get through these "rough" times. I have been an "older" student, City slicker turned rancher and in between I have owned several businesses. Or, maybe they owned me, but either way it was good being the boss. I love being in charge of my life. I am, again, starting to bring in several streams of income so I can have more time to pursue writing.

I'm passionate about:
1) reading, 2) writing, 3) kind people, 4) animals and 5) traveling. Isn't reading the window to the world? I dislike: 1) mean people, 2) suffering, whether it is adults, children or animals and 3) being in an office all day when I could be out in the world!

I am thrilled to be part of Helium. I want to write and have not, until yesterday, completed any article I set out to write. I never knew what to do with my writing when I did write. I feel I have finally found a place to express myself. So, hello to all you wonderful Helium writers and thank you for this awesome site.

Well, it certainly didn't turn out like I thought! In my day it was get married, have kids, stay home with said kids and be a great wife...your husband will take care of you. Now what, I'm single...

My favorite memory ...

My sister kids me about playing dolls! I set up houses for my dolls, we'd play 5 minutes and then I would move my doll family, we'd play 5 minutes, I would move the family again, etc. I am now in Real Estate...

Why I write ...

I love it. I want to be good but looking around this site I am finding some awesome talent and I am running to keep up and learning to hone my skills

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

How to grow your business when you're self employed, Rich Dad, Poor Dad with advice from Robert Kiyosaki about money, and for down time I read novels and I'm going to read The Story of Edgar Sawtelle since it hit Oprahs list

My first job ...

Sales associate at JCPenny's where cash registers didn't count out the change, you actually had to make change for the customer

My best moment ...

On stage doing the Music Man with a large cast. I love theatre and just being part of the theatre is fulfilling and exciting

My inspiration ...

To be able to return to the community theatre, to write a stage play, and just fill my life with writing.
