About me

Iowaprodigal is a college student in New York City. He lived in the rural Midwest for 16 years before he moved out East, and he takes pleasure in the contrasts the urban experience provides with his rural background.

Additionally, Iowaprodigal was has a diverse educational background. Homeschooled through high school, his education came primarily from his voracious desire to learn. He was also heavily involved in activities out of the home: piano and voice lessons, the Future Problem Solving Program (http://www.fpsp.org/), working in the local public library, and providing computer repair/troubleshooting to those with limited accessibility. Politically, Iowaprodigal's interests were fueled while working as a page in the Iowa House of Representatives and experiencing the political process first-hand.

Iowaprodigal enjoys reading: fiction - sci-fi (Isaac Asimov), historical fiction (Michael Shaara); non-fiction - current events, history, etc. He is also very interested in political theory and economics. Additionally, he enjoys working with computers and debating friends.

Iowaprodial can be contacted at iowacrusader@gmail.com, and would love to hear comments or critiques on his articles and arguments.
