: About Me

Being a mother to 2 young daughters doesn't leave me much time for myself. I am a full-time chef, day-care manager, housekeeper, laundress, and comforter of small childhood griefs.

That being said, I love to write and create things for others to enjoy. Since my husband is more the no-nonsense type, he doesn't always have time to look at what I create (though he obligingly tries now and again). Helium allows me to save my sanity by sharing all the things I think of, but in a very constructive, building manner.

Being rated is a wonderful feedback for me, and allows me to go in and try tweaking things to get better. Since I don't have time to attend a writing class, or take a home writing course (where would I find the time?), this is my writing course. Because of this, I find my writing is improving, and I am getting my voice heard in a way I couldn't before.

I stood still, gazing at the muddy waters running underneath the small footbridge. Who would have thought this humble little stream would be such an inspiration to my life? Maybe I should explain...
