As a former preschool and kindergarten teacher, I know that children hitting others, unfortunately, is not uncommon. This is how I suggest parents deal with children who hit. First, talk to your child. Talk about general questions about your child's day and events at school. If you suspect a particular child is always the aggressor , DO NOT ask leading questions such as, "Did Mark hit you again today?"
