Jacob Fenster is now currently a student at Austin College in Sherman Texas. He is a Religion major, Biology minor, and on the Pre-Medical track. He is an Eagle Scout and has visited all seven continents. He is a NCAA swimmer and participates in open running and biking events as well. Most of his writing is done in his free time on the side. He currently writes just article on topics in different areas but he hopes to soon widen his writing to scientific journals and even pulp fiction papers.
According to Webster’s Dictionary, gender is the property that distinguishes organisms on the basis of their reproductive and social role as well as identity. Social role and identity serve a large part in understanding early Christian texts. Gender was not solely determined by one’s anatomy. Through these texts, one can understand how each social role was constructed and what it took to be masculine or feminine in each culture.
