I grew up an only child in a Chicago suburb in household where English was my second language. I started out in school introverted and shy because I could not communicate, then found a way to express myself through stories. My mother tried to push me into the arts when I was younger...either music or modeling but it never felt right. I wanted something with a lot more substance. Now I make a living writing news for a television station in Milwaukee and my career is surprisingly fufilling insomuch that I get to do something that makes a difference in so many lives and gives me the opportunity and the meduim to reach out to thousands of people. From my perspective, writing is not only fun, entertaining and informative, writing is therapeutic.
