Hello all my fellow writers. Its so nice to meet all of you and as a (relatively) new member of Helium, I look forward to reading all of your submissions.

Hmmm I am supposed to write something about me. That's often the hardest thing to do. Well, I like candlelight dinners and long walks on the..oops wrong site! he he

I am a 22 year old news hound with a penchant for writing about the environment, politics, art, pretty much anything really.

I joined Helium to get welcome feedback on some of the pieces I've been working on recently. So feel free to criticize, comment. I welcome it all.

Gerard Daechsel, 74, says he's often mistaken for a homeless person. That's because he salvages everything he owns from garbage bins. People, he says, even offer him money as charity.
