Here are a few things about me:
-I hate writing these "About me"s (but Helium seems to really want us to take them seriously).
-I write and edit children's books for a living. It's not a bad way to spend the day.
-I'm open to most any writing or editing opportunities, so please contact me if you like my work and you're looking for someone.
-In colloquial situations I tend to write in lower case (mostly out of Shift key laziness), but I'm switching to conventional grammar rules for my Helium articles.
-I have a blog about the Wizard of Oz. To check it out, click on "A Year of Oz" under My Links.
-I'm working on a novel that I'll surely never finish.
-My wife and I have a cat that weighs in at twenty-one pounds.
-I don't watch "Lost."
My passion is ...
a burning, raging inferno. Just kidding.
I know too much about ...
nothing. ... Maybe football. That's embarrassing.
My parents always told me ...
to sit still.
My childhood ambition ...
was to get away with things.
My favorite memory ...
is getting engaged to my wife on stage with the Flaming Lips. Top that, guys.
Why I write ...
... Who knows. To pay the bills? To share something? Sleep deprivation?
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Reading: A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again. Watching: Arrested Development, bad reality TV. Listening to: Crooked Fingers.
My first job ...
was making Little Ceasar's pizzas. Mmm, delicious.
My best moment ...
is right ... now! No, wait, ... now! Wait wait wait, ... now!
My inspiration ...
has no idea what it's doing.
