About me - Vicki Ross

About me

I am a 41 year old nurse, who works in the Long Term Care business for over 22 years. I have 2 children, a daughter 20 years old and a son 16 years old. I also have to step-children, a daughter 13 years old and a son 14 years old.
My husband and I love to travel and try to go to Mexico, at least once a year. We also enjoy going on weekend trips to a local lake.
I enjoy cooking, well maybe I enjoy buying cook books and looking at the good food more than cooking it. I do love to cook when I have the time and am not rushed to get the meal done.

Why I write ...

I find it very fulfilling to write my opinions and feeling on paper, it helps me to put things into perspective

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I enjoy reading non-fiction books. I am now engrossed in books written by Iraq soldiers because they are giving first hand information that no one else could possibly know unless you were there. My favorite channel is court TV, crimes and why people do the things they do really is interesting. I like getting into people's heads and find the when, why and where. I enjoy listening to rock music.

My first job ...

I started working for a neighbor who had a swimming pool as a swimming instructor. I then became a life guard at the city swimming pool. What a life, sitting in a chair watching swimmers and getting a great tan all at the same time.

My best moment ...

was going on a trip to Florida with a friend of mine as a graduation present from our parents.

My inspiration ...

was my great-grandmother and her morals and values.
