I would have to say, being a reasonably well educated individual, that no the dead do not and will not rise again. Unless, of course, you refer to medical techniques to evive patients in a trauma or ER situation. But that's not what is being discussed here. The concept of an immortal soul is a nice, comfortable way of dealing with the fear of death. A way for those who cannot face the simple fact that we have one life and when it is over, it's over.
