I live in Apache Junction, Arizona, in the shadow of the Superstition Mountains and the newly discovered Lost Dutchman Gold Mine. I am a history buff. I studied Court Reporting at Gateway Community College in Phoenix, Arizona.
I had hoped to do closed captioning for television and may still pursue it. I have passed National exams, 200 w.p.m. tests with 98% accuracy. I like digging for gold and I'm in the right area for that. They took out $3,000,000 at the Goldfield Mine before an underground flood buried it. The Goldfield Ghost Town now shows the old diggings. I have 4-sons and 14 grandchildren. My husband is an owner operator of a Kenworth semi-truck.
While watching television the other day I saw a show called "Stand Down". This show was about bringing all of the services together to help homeless Veterans from all wars, past and present. They built a tent city and housed over 900 Veterans of Foreign Wars. They were able to be fed, showered and helped with all phases of their needs for one weekend only. It was very uplifting until I realized this was only for one weekend.
